“This endowed position will expand the Department’s strengths in Romance languages, literatures, and cultures through a primary specialization in Catalan Studies, while contributing to the department’s broader intellectual and curricular mission across the Romance languages.” “We especially welcome candidates whose work places Catalan Studies in conversation with one or more of the following: comparative and transnational approaches, Iberian Studies, Mediterranean Studies, migration and diaspora, race and ethnicity, gender and sexuality, colonial and postcolonial studies, environmental humanities, media and visual culture, translation, multilingualism, and language and cultural contact. The historical period is open.”
