“Candidates must have earned a PhD degree in Women and Gender Studies or a related area in the humanities or social sciences by the time of appointment, or shortly thereafter, with a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching in one or more of the following: feminist analyses of empire, colonial/postcolonial histories, and transnational formations of gender and sexuality. Successful candidates use interdisciplinary, non-Western-centric methods including digital and archival approaches to diasporic feminist knowledge production, with particular attention to race, caste, and ethnicity.”
