“We seek a candidate with expertise in language, culture, and society who can develop and teach courses such as Language in US Society, Language, Gender & Sexuality, Ethnicity, Race & Language, Language & Social Media, Language & Interaction, World Language Policies, and Language & Culture, in addition to innovating new courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. Candidates who bridge the Sociocultural Linguistic (SAIL) and Computational Linguistic undergraduate tracks within the Department are especially encouraged to apply (e.g., AI in Language and Society, NLP for Endangered Language Documentation). “
