Seeking candidates “with expertise in the Literatures and Cultures of the Americas before 1900 to begin in Fall 2026. We seek a scholar whose research is committed to comparative, multiracial, multiethnic, multilingual and/or interdisciplinary approaches. We are especially interested in innovative approaches to the field, including work on: frontiers, diaspora, expansionism, empire, ecocriticism, and hemispheric or transatlantic literary cultures.” “The candidate will find enriching opportunities to contribute to burgeoning interdisciplinary minors in Africana Studies, Changemaking, Creative Writing, Film Studies, Latin American Studies, and Women’s and Gender Studies.”
