The area of specialization is open; however, the ideal candidate would expand our expertise in any number of sub-disciplines within Classical Studies (e.g. history, material culture, classical reception, archaeology, gender studies, race studies, health studies) and be able to teach core courses (Latin at all levels, myth, Greek and Roman history) and creative new courses that contribute to the major and/or interdisciplinary minors (Health Studies, Linguistics, Gender Studies, or Social Justice, e.g.).”
