“Primary teaching responsibilities include world history surveys, additional survey courses in their areas of specialization for both majors and non-majors that meet the needs of the university’s Shared Curriculum program, and upper-division courses for History and History/Social Studies majors. The department seeks applicants with one of the following areas of geographic concentration: Europe, Latin America, Africa, or the Middle East. Area of thematic and methodological specialization is open.” “The ability to contribute to Whitworth’s many interdisciplinary programs, including but not limited to the Medieval and Early Modern Studies, Latin American Studies, Environmental Studies, and/or the Women’s and Gender Studies programs is also a plus.” Note: 21 credit hours load; salary range is $59,572 – $63,718 (university is in Spokane).
