“WGSX is an interdisciplinary program offering an undergraduate minor and major in the study of gender and sexuality as categories of analysis and experience that intersect with race, class, ethnicity, citizenship, and other forms of difference. Teaching responsibilities will include Introduction to Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies each semester, a 200- or 300-level feminist/queer theory course once a year, and topics courses in the candidate’s areas of expertise.””Applicants with expertise in any area of Feminist/Queer Studies broadly defined, in any discipline with a clear commitment to gender- focused interdisciplinary work and significant coursework, teaching, research, or professional activity in Women, Gender, and/or Sexuality Studies are encouraged to apply.” “We are particularly interested in applicants who approach gender and sexuality through transnational lenses, with an emphasis on Black and/or Indigenous experiences and perspectives. We welcome scholars grounded in interdisciplinary Black Feminisms and Queer Studies with a demonstrated history of community engagement, public history, and/or other public-facing approaches to scholarship.”
