“Candidates should have teaching experience and a commitment to research in global women’s health and Women’s and Gender Studies. Candidates should be prepared to teach Introduction to Women’s Studies courses, and upper division courses in women’s health, as well as assist in strengthening the women’s health concentration as a component of the Comparative Women’s Studies major.” “Specialized fields may include health status of women of African descent, and comparative feminist health studies.” Candidates should have a “Ph.D. in Women’s Studies. Candidates with specialization in medical anthropology; history of science/medicine; or related interdisciplinary programs such as African American Studies, African Diaspora Studies, American Studies are highly desirable.”
