“Candidates must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. in American history by August 15, 2025. We will also consider Ph.Ds. in other geographical fields of history as long as their research demonstrates a sustained engagement with and expertise in the history of the United States. In addition to upper-level and graduate courses in U.S. and Global History, the ability to teach survey courses in the general education curriculum in pre-modern and/or modern history is essential.” “At the College of Charleston, diversity, equity, and inclusion are central to our mission and strategic plan.
