Description:
“The Departments seek exceptional candidates with an interdisciplinary focus on Black experiences, culture, history, life writing, or performance studies broadly defined. We are particularly interested in scholars who employ intersectional, transnational, social movements, digital humanities, and/or social justice-focused methodologies in research and teaching. We are additionally interested in scholars who illustrate a conversance in Black-Brown articulations should have a “doctoral degree in African American Studies, African Diaspora Studies, Ethnic Studies, History, American Studies, Performance Studies, Gender Studies, or a related discipline centered scholarly on Black or African descendant communities.”
