“Candidates must have the ability to teach interdisciplinary, intersectional seminars on East Asia to introduce undergraduates to the politics, history, intellectual thought, and development of the region within a global context, interrogating the historical and interconnected roots of current geopolitical and cultural challenges, including ethno-national and gender-based violence, racism, and neocolonialism. Preference for expertise in Korea and/or Japan.”
