“In addition to a grounding in transnational British literature after 1900, we seek applications from candidates whose research and teaching interests include African regional and diasporic literatures and cultures. The areas of specialization are open, but we are particularly interested in research and teaching specializations in one or more of the following: postcolonial literature and theory; slavery and its afterlives; migration; environmental and/or medical humanities; gender, sexuality, and queer politics; political economy and global and racial capitalism; and film/media studies.”
