“The faculty member would teach 3 courses per term in art history survey via Art History 1 & Art History 2, as well as upper level art history courses such as contemporary, modern, women in art, or topics based on area of expertise.” “In addition to expertise in European and/or American Art, specializations in African American, African, Latin American, and/or colonial arts would be welcomed. The Visual Arts program teaches painting, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, graphic design, photography, and animation, so we seek candidates able to teach art history that covers those areas. Applicants are invited to affiliate with the newly formed Institute for Race, Gender, Sexuality, and Social Justice. A candidate interested in interdisciplinary or intersectional studies, multicultural and ethnic studies, Black studies, women’s and gender studies, sexuality studies, or related area would be considered.” Note: 3:3 load with service.
