“The successful candidate will teach core and elective courses for undergraduate and graduate students, a total of three courses per semester. Specific courses will be determined based upon departmental need and the successful candidate’s specialty. Non-core course topics will generally focus on (but not necessarily be confined to) Western classical music.” “The department welcomes applicants whose work focuses on specific areas, including, but not limited to: vocal and instrumental music in Italy and France; music of the nineteenth through twenty-first-centuries and its cross-cultural contacts, especially with Asia and the Asian diaspora; gender and sexuality in twentieth- and twenty-first-century music; and performance studies.”
