Candidates should have a “PhD in History, Philosophy, or Politics, with a focus on law and society.” “Candidates should be prepared to develop upper-division seminars that include introduction to Western and non-Western legal systems in the Law, Ethics, History, and Religion concentration and focus on such global legal issues as racial justice, indigenous rights, earth justice, capital punishment, LGBTQ and women’s rights, and disability law.”
