Deadline:
January 7
Length/Track:
Tenure track
Description:
“We invite candidates to apply who possess a broad interest in early modern English literature, including Shakespeare, as well as early modern writing from continental Europe. We also seek a colleague whose interests extend forward in time and outwards geographically, to account for the period’s ongoing impact across media and hemispheres. Successful candidates will be capable of designing original courses—both seminars and lectures—that introduce students to a diverse range of authors from 1500 to 1700, as well as to their later interpreters and adapters from around the globe. We welcome areas of teaching specialization such as race, nation and empire; gender and LGBTQ+ studies; disability studies; the history of the book and media studies; performance studies; and ecocriticism.”
