“Area of specialization is open. Broad training and ability to teach a variety of classes, especially in the Americas, is a must. The successful applicant will also have digital humanities and/or public history expertise, as well as successful teaching experience and a commitment to undergraduate liberal education. Westminster’s normal teaching load is 24 semester hours per year – typically three.” “Primary teaching responsibilities include introductory liberal education History courses; History methods courses; major capstone courses; and upper-division undergraduate courses in the successful candidate’s area of specialization. Depending on specialization, there may be opportunities to teach in affiliated, interdisciplinary programs, such as Gender Studies, Environmental Studies, Justice Studies, and the Honors College as well as to lead field studies courses in the US and abroad.”
