Description:

Seeking “an outstanding scholar whose research and teaching interests address childhood and youth in the social sciences, broadly conceived. Applicants must have earned their Ph.D. in Childhood Studies, Anthropology, Sociology, Geography, Indigenous Studies, Black Studies, Gender Studies, Global Studies, Latinx Studies, Urban Studies, or a related field, and have a demonstrated promise of research and teaching excellence. Successful candidates will have a robust qualitative and/or ethnographic research program that brings a critical lens to the experiences of children and youth. Priority will be given to scholars whose work centers age as a category of analysis, and questions the normative construction of childhoods, particularly those of marginalized youth in a global or transnational context.”
