Incumbent must have a “Ph.D. in African American History, African American Studies, or a closely related field (degree must be completed by the start date).” “This position is an exciting opportunity to advance research and teaching on issues central to the African diaspora, Africa, and related fields within the context of a PBI.” Preferred: “[e]xperience with interdisciplinary teaching and collaboration, and the ability to connect Africana Studies to other fields such as ethnic studies, gender studies, or public policy.”
