“This faculty member will also serve as a liaison between the Modern Languages Department and the American Studies and Media & Communications Department, facilitating collaboration and the integration of Spanish-language media creation within the broader media curriculum. The ideal candidate will have professional experience in the media professional ecosystem, particularly in Spanish-language content creation, along with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and interdisciplinary collaboration. Community engagement and experience in culturally diverse settings will be highly valued. Ability to teach Latina/o Studies or Media Studies courses in area of expertise is required. A focus on the study of media and culture, queer studies and/or sexuality, contemporary immigration, or movements for social justice is a plus.” Must have advanced proficiency in Spanish.
