Description:
“The successful candidate will teach two courses per semester in art history, visual and material culture, and curatorial studies of the global south and mentor both undergraduate and graduate students in Art History & Visual Studies.” “The scholarly focus of the successful candidate will be the arts of one or more of the following regions: Africa, MENA, South/Southeast Asia, Oceania, the Caribbean, or Latin America. In addition to situating their work within a global, trans-historical, and/or cross-cultural perspective, they should be theory-minded, incorporating into their research and teaching critical studies on topics such as national identity, ethnicity, race, caste, class, gender, and/or sexuality; nationalism, colonialism, decolonization, globalization, migration, diaspora, and/or indigeneity; or contested and marginalized institutional histories.”
