“We seek a critically-engaged scholar in any area of Latina/o/x/e visual art and culture, either historical (19th-20th centuries) or contemporary (or both). We will consider all specializations within the field, including Chicana/o/x, Central American, Afro-Latinx, Latinx indigeneities, global Latinidades, etc. as well as a wide range of theoretical and methodological approaches, including scholars whose work intersects with ethnic studies, the hemispheric Americas, gender and queer studies, trans studies, decolonial theory, etc.”
