Description:

Inviting “applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in English with an emphasis on American literature, especially in the 19th Century and earlier, who can help us re-imagine how we cover genre and period. An emphasis on drama, poetry, or Young Adult Literature is also preferred. Experience in the areas of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, Religious Studies, or Professional Writing are also welcome, though not required.” “The successful candidate will demonstrate the qualifications and enthusiasm to teach a broad range of literature, composition, and writing courses in the Department of Languages, Literature, and Philosophy with majors in English, Spanish, and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, and minors in Philosophy and Religious Studies. The English major includes five concentrations: Literature, African American Literature, Creative Writing, Professional Writing, and English with Teacher Certification.”
