“We are especially interested in applicants whose research and teaching interests include: critical ethnic studies, postcolonial literature, twentieth- and twenty-first century literature, graphic novels and new media, or literary nonfiction.  In addition, we welcome applicants who link the study of Asian American Literature to interdisciplinary research areas, such as Women, Feminist, and Queer Studies; environmental humanities; diasporic, transnational, and transpacific studies; digital humanities; media studies. In partnership with the multidisciplinary programs, we are interested in other emerging subfields that examine the relationship between culture, identity, and embodiment, such as queer, trans, and disability studies.“
