Description:

“The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses with a focus on Chicanx/Latinx Art at the undergraduate and graduate levels, mentor students, collaborate with colleagues in the College of Ethnic Studies, engage with community partners, maintain an active, creative research profile, and actively participate in continuing to grow the Department of Chicana(o) & Latina(o) Studies.” Preferred qualifications:

1) A creative practice grounded in community engagement related to issues impacting diverse Latinx communities, including women, Indigenous, Central American, Afro-Latinx, immigrants, LBGTQ+, and other marginalized groups.

2) Demonstrated experience or potential for successfully teaching comparative Ethnic Studies courses involving populations that include Native Americans, African Americans, Chicana/Latina/o/x, and Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders in the United States.

3) Demonstrated expertise in utilizing feminist, Joteria, and/or intersectional analyses, methodologies, and practices in the field of Ethnic Studies.
