“The successful candidate must demonstrate through education and scholarship a primary specialization in British literature from 1785 to the present with secondary interests in the critical areas of gender and sexuality studies. The successful candidate must also demonstrate experience teaching first-year writing and the flexibility to teach other classes outside the expertise, such as The Modern Fairy Tale, Environmental Literature, World Literature, Genre and Form Studies, or other courses that rotate among English faculty at Columbia College. The successful candidate will serve as Program Director of the Gender and Women’s Studies Minor.”
