Deadline:
March 1
Length/Track:
Two years
Description:
“We are looking for early-career scholars who center the study of caste, inequality and exclusion in understanding the cultures, languages and literatures, history, social relations, and/or politics of modern South Asia and who have a demonstrated record of actively working to dismantle entrenched caste and race hierarchies both in the academy and beyond. Disciplinary focus is open, but applications are encouraged from scholars who broaden institutional and scholarly conversations around inequality and exclusion—for instance, through the twin lenses of race and caste—who support transnational and interdisciplinary perspectives on caste, who engage centrally with the fields of Dalit Studies and/or Adivasi Studies, or who take intersectional approaches to caste, class, gender, religion, sexuality, and the environment.”
