Description:
Joint appointment in the “Walker Institute of International and Area Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences.” Seeking a scholar “whose scholarship engages with the advancement of human rights related to gender relations and/or sexuality, and the tensions between universal definitions and context-specific practices of humanitarian action.” “Candidates must have a doctoral degree in Geography, History, or Political Science, or a closely related field that may include interdisciplinary studies or area studies by the start date.” “Preference will be given to candidates with clearly established, Global South field-based research where they have demonstrated work with communities marginalized within national and/or international hierarchies. Preference is also given to candidates who draw upon interdisciplinary methods and concepts in their scholarship to advance research frontiers in their field.”
