Inviting “scholars working on the art, architecture, and/or visual/material culture of Africa.” “Scholars working within transcultural frameworks and across time periods are particularly encouraged to apply, as are those whose work might intersect with that being done in interdisciplinary programs and centers at Rice, including (but not limited to) those in Medical Humanities, Medieval & Early Modern Studies, Environmental Studies, African and African American Studies, Ancient Mediterranean Civilizations, and the Study of Women, Gender, and Sexuality.”
