“The geographical and historical areas of specialization are open; the preference is for expertise in areas that will broaden the strengths of the department. We welcome applicants, including advanced ABDs and early-career PhDs, from a broad array of disciplines in the humanities and humanistic social sciences. Areas of potential specialization include, but are not limited to, ecology; cultural heritage; gender and sexuality; race and ethnicity; health and wellness; performance and/or music; media and material culture; politics; religious experiences of migrant and/or diaspora communities; social movements; and transnational or trans-regional religious networks.”
