“The position requires teaching Latin at all levels as well as lower and upper-division classics-in-translation courses.” “The candidate’s teaching and research focus will ideally engage in one or more of the following areas: race and ethnicity, classical reception and postcolonialism, and/or classics and environmentalism.” ” Such an emphasis will reinforce the department and institution’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and will specifically enrich courses in translation . . . such as Classical Mythology, Gender and Sexuality in Antiquity, and Roman Life and Culture.”
