Description:
Position will be in Department of Communication Studies. “We are especially interested in research that examines platforms in any of the following contexts: feminism and gender, globalization, queer theory, critical race theory, and labor studies. Specialties may include app culture, algorithm auditing, the history of platforms, software studies, social media entertainment, or other areas of platform studies. We seek a scholar-teacher who examines digital platforms in terms of the architecture of their technical systems, as well as the cultural, institutional and regulatory arrangements that surround them.”
