“We are seeking either a specialist in pre-eighteenth-century French literature who is able to connect their work meaningfully to modern literary production, with an emphasis on the nineteenth century; or a specialist in nineteenth-century French literature who is able to ground their work solidly in pre-eighteenth-century literary production. The sub-specialization is open but the department especially welcomes approaches that connect with an interdiscipline such as Women’s Studies, LGBTQ Studies, Environmental Studies, Medieval and Renaissance Studies, Linguistics, or Performance Studies.”
