“We seek a scholar of Latinx/Chicanx Studies specializing in Performance and Visual studies who offers innovative and timely critical interventions in contemporary and/or transhistorical examinations of Latinidades. We are particularly interested in scholars working on political, social, and artistic Queer and Trans expression and aesthetics across Latinx/Chicanx diasporic communities and cultures. As a department that is deeply committed to trans- and interdisciplinary frameworks, we are invested in scholarship within Latinx and Chicanx Studies that engages theoretical and methodological inquiries exploring histories of race, Blackness, Indigeneity, social activism, and popular culture.”
