“Potential subfields of interest to us include global Chinese, sinophone, or diasporic literature; the multilingual literary cultures of Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, etc.; Cantonese and other non-Mandarin Chinese languages; languages and literatures of minoritized ethnicities on or off the mainland; science fiction, fantasy, and other emergent genres; ecocritical and feminist approaches to China’s role in the global order; media-and-technology-based approaches; and comparative work within such frameworks as the Global South.”
